A scholar of Anglo-American conservative thought, he contributes to daily national newspapers such as <\/span>Libero, Il Foglio, Cronache di liberal, Il Tempo, <\/span><\/i>and <\/span>l\u2019Occidentale, Ragionpolitica, il Quintuplo<\/span><\/i> and 1 Channel (online), as well as to the weekly magazines <\/span>Tempi<\/span><\/i> and <\/span>Oggi<\/span><\/i>, the monthly journals <\/span>Il Timone <\/span><\/i>and<\/span> Radici Cristiane<\/span><\/i>, and the quarterly <\/span>Cristianit\u00e0<\/span><\/i>.<\/span><\/p>\n

From 2002 until 2009, he worked as a Senior Editor at <\/span>il Domenicale<\/span><\/i>, the first Italian independent national weekly magazine of culture based in Milan. Then, from 2010 until 2012, he worked at <\/span>La Bussola Quotidiana<\/span><\/i>, a Catholic daily journal of opinion.<\/span><\/p>\n

After meeting Dr. Russell Kirk in 1989 and later residing as a Wilbur Fellow at the Russell Kirk Center in the 1990s, he became involved in Anglo-American conservative circles. In 1996, Marco was named a Senior Fellow of the Russell Kirk Center and organized an Italian branch, the Centro Studi Russell Kirk, based in Milan.<\/span><\/p>\n

Marco is also President of the Columbia Institute, a cultural and educational organization devoted to serve and protect the Western heritage of life, liberties, and property, operating toward the restoration of the humane and virtuous society of responsible citizens, limited government, free enterprise, natural family, and traditional moral values. He is the editor of the series of books, US Polis, published in Chieti by Solfanelli in conjunction with the Columbia Institute in Milan.<\/span><\/p>\n

He has translated and edited works by Edmund Burke, Charles Dickens, T. S. Eliot, Russell Kirk, J. R. R. Tolkien, Colin Duriez, R\u00e9gine Pernoud and Gustave Thibon for several Italian publishing houses. \u00a0His translation of Kirk\u2019s <\/span>The Roots of American Order<\/span><\/i> is titled <\/span>Le radici dell\u2019ordine americano. La tradizione europea nei valori del Nuovo Mondo<\/span><\/i> (Mondadori, 1996).<\/span><\/p>\n

Marco is the author of <\/span>Ronald W. Reagan: Un americano alla Casa Bianca<\/span><\/i> (Rubbettino, 2005) among other titles.<\/span><\/p>\n

Marco has lectured widely outside Italy, including for the Russell Kirk Center, the Intercollegiate Studies Institute, Young America\u2019s Foundation in the U.S. as well as at the Italian Cultural Institute of London; the Ob\u010dansk\u00fd Institut\u2013Civic Institute of Prague; at the Instituto de Estudios de la Democracia, C\u00e1tedra de pensamiento pol\u00edtico \u201cAlexis de Tocqueville,\u201d at the Colegio Mayor Universitario de San Pablo, Spain; and for the Center for European Renewal in Budapest, Hungary.<\/span><\/p>\n
