Burke was a prominent statesman and philosopher who denounced the society-wrenching ideology of the French Revolutionaries. His 1790 book, <\/span>Reflections on the Revolution in France<\/span><\/i>, is considered a seminal text in the Western and conservative intellectual traditions.<\/span><\/p>\n

This course will serve as an introduction to Edmund Burke\u2019s historical and perennial significance and to his most important and influential book. While reading through the entirety of <\/span>the<\/span> Reflections on the Revolution in France, <\/span><\/i>students will consider how Burke\u2019s ideas spoke to the dilemmas of the late eighteenth century and to the moral, cultural, and social challenges of our own time.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This online master class is available to a limited number of registrants. Some registrants will be placed on a waitlist and may be added if an initial registrant drops. Those who are waitlisted will also be considered for future educational opportunities offered by the Russell Kirk Center’s School of Conservative Studies.<\/p>\n
