David Hein<\/strong> is Distinguished Teaching Fellow at the Russell Kirk Center for Cultural Renewal.

He is a trustee of Saint James School (Hagerstown, MD), a trustee of the George C. Marshall Foundation (Lexington, VA), and a former trustee of his alma mater, St. Paul\u2019s School (Brooklandville, MD).
<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

He has also served as a boarding-school master in Virginia and a college professor in Maryland. In 2011 he was elected a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society (UK).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

His publications include 10 books and more than 75 articles in <\/span><\/span>the New Criterion, Modern Age, the Journal of Military History, ARMY magazine, the Mississippi Quarterly, the Salisbury Review, the Imaginative Conservative, the Journal of Ecclesiastical History<\/i><\/span><\/span>, and other periodicals. He is<\/span><\/span> coauthor of\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Archbishop Fisher, 1945-1961: Church, State and World<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Jeff Polet is Director of the Ford Leadership Forum at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Foundation. Previously he was a Professor of Political Science at Hope College, and before that at Malone College in Canton, OH. A native of West Michigan, he received his BA from Calvin College and his MA and Ph.D. from The Catholic University of America in Washington DC.<\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
In addition to his teaching, he has published on a wide range of scholarly and popular topics. These include Contemporary European Political Thought, American Political Thought, the American Founding, education theory and policy, constitutional law, religion and politics, virtue theory, and other topics. His work has appeared in many scholarly journals as well as more popular venues such as\u00a0The Hill<\/i>,\u00a0the Spectator<\/i>,\u00a0The American Conservative<\/i>,\u00a0First Things<\/i>, and others.<\/div>

He serves on the board of The Front Porch Republic, an organization dedicated to the idea that human flourishing happens best in local communities and in face-to-face relationships. He is also a Senior Fellow at the Russell Kirk Center for Cultural Renewal. He has lectured at many schools and civic institutions across the\u00a0country.
