Free Minds, Free People is not your average conference; it is a space for building solutions to our nation’s most pressing issues in education. This national gathering, presented by the Education for Liberation Network, brings together teachers, high school and college students, researchers, parents and community based activists/educators from across the country to build a movement to develop and promote education as a tool for liberation. It takes place every other year. More than 700 people attended Free Minds, Free People 2011 in Providence.
